Leg 1-they left the light on for us

So we made it to our first destination...the motel 6 in Lompoc. 

We started later than our projected midnight and took off at 1:30am & we arrived at 4:00am. I actually drove the speed limit as I didn't want a repeat of my last speeding ticket on the same freeway. 

I'm just grateful & to be able to take this trip despite not getting to go to burning man this year. This trip was in the stars for me & next year I will burn like a pro ;) I'm just excited to see big sur, San Fran, Portland, Seattle & Vancouver in one trip!

So day 1 is done & I'm looking forward to some pretty breathtaking photos of big sur. hopefully better than this one below:
